Default print selective columns from WAB

Any way to print ONLY the names and
e-mail addresses from the windows
address book?

I can export only those two fields to a csv
file, but can't then translate the "commas"
to tabs with a simple Edit - Replace.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bill

Print Address Book:

Open the Address Book and go to: File | Export | Other Address Book. Click
on: Text File (comma separated value). Click: Export | Browse | Select a
folder | Name and Save. Click Next. At this point you can check what
information you want saved. Finish per instructions. You can copy & paste
the addresses into your word processing program. I use Word Perfect and
create columns prior to pasting to save space.

What word processor are you using to view the csv file?

Microsoft Works Word processor will replace commas with a tabs, as will
Microsoft Word and OpenOffice Writer will also.

In the Writer processor special character are called expressions.

Open in the CSV file in a spreadsheet program such as Excel (or a
database program). Those types of programs will recognize the commas
and put the fields in separate columns.

Hi Bill,

I have Word version 2000.

Edit - Replace, then in Find Replace dialog window click 'More', this will
display more search options, then click 'Special', on it's expanding menu
chose Tab Character.

The tab character is ^t .

Hope this helps,
Ken
