There is no connection to OE and IE7. Are you referring to the OE logon

set up with your ISP when you first set up Outlook Express.

The PW works fine with IE7.
Is OE6 down now or is the properties box in Accts/mail/server
malfunctioning?
Thanks

Bruce:

In this suggestion; should both boxes at the bottom of the Permissions for
Protected Storage System ..... be checked? And should apply and OK be
clicked?

Thanks Again

I'm on Win7 now so I can only say to follow the directions as best you
can, or hang in there until you get another reply. I thought the
instructions would be self explanatory.

"Clicking OE6 on"?

rhetorical Is your identity PW-protected or is OE configured to "Send and
receive messages at startup"?

PA Bear:
Send and Receive at OE startup.

PA Bear and Bruce:
My thanks to you both for struggling through this with me.
I probably never will find the "ins and outs" of this.
I can appreciate the self explanatory nature of some tips and tricks of
sites meant to assist in self managing some problems, and I'm sorry part of
that eluded me.
Since I have decided to prepare to do a System Restore because 2 'Roxio
programs" are giving me fits, I tried a System Restore work around to
temporarily alleviate the OE6 PW problem. It's been OK now for about 3 hours
and 5 sign-ons so may behave itself at least until I do the Recovery.
Thanks Guys!
