Microsoft wrote an AWD-TIFF converter and placed it on the
WinXP CD. It is also on some Windows 2000 CD's. Look under i386\win9xmig\fax\ for a file called awdvstub.exe Run it with no command line arguments to get its options. Use the '/c' option to convert an AWD file to a TIFF file. You can also copy the file to your hard drive and associate AWD files with it. Then double clicking an AWD file will convert it and open it in the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. For the utility to run correctly You must also have a copy of "fxstiff.dll" on your hard drive, usually in the Windows\system32 folder and/or the Windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3 folder. Normally that dll will be in place already if you've installed the Windows XP Fax Program. Also, some third party utilities sych as PolyView support opening and converting AWD files (http://www.polyview.com) -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Ben" wrote in message ... also I wanna have viewer for *.AWD . thanks "Ben" .gbl...
