I've got a Dell 3115cn Multifunction Laser Printer.

It is capable of faxing straight from the printer, but because of the amount
of faxing that our company does, im trying to setup a fax server...

Here's the issue...we're running Windows Server 2003 Standard R2. Our email
server is not local.

Would i have to have the place that's hosting our email setup the fax server
on their end or is there a way for me to do it on my end, locally?

Not sure what this has to do with Outlook, nor what your multifunction
printer has to do with any of this.
Windows Server 2003 certainly has fax server software that can be accessed
by client machines. Obviously your server would need unrestricted access to
a good analog phone line, so you would not want your multifunction printer
on the same line.

Well, that's the thing, the AIO is hooked up to a phone lin,e for the faxing
function...

the reason I posted this in outlook is because all the information i have
found on the internet, menitons Microsoft Exchange and fax server.

I have been unable to find any information regarding setting up the fax
server...

The Dell 3115cn is not connected directly to the server, instead it's
connected to the router, and iv'e got all the ports setup as local TCP/IP
ports.

Ifd you have any information or know of a good location, i could find this
out, i'd appricaite it.

The AIO cannot be used by any Windows Fax service to send/receive faxes;
this includes XP Fax, Windows Fax and Scan (Vista), and the Shares Fax
Service supported by Windows Server 2003 and all versions of Small Business
Server. These can only work with an old fashioned analog fax modem. As to
