Default Outlook backups

I use Outlook 2003 SP3 under XP Pro SP3 fully patched. Following a recent
near-disaster I thought I would backup my Outlook to my second (D:\) disk.
But despite me specifying in the backup to use D:\outlookbackup folder,
backup always tries to use the default .pst location on the C: drive. Any
ideas, please how I may secure my backup data?

Because you haven't explained how you're trying to perform this backup and
what program you're using for it, there's no way anyone can guess what might
have gone wrong.

I was using the Microsoft add-in, as you would have seen if you had read a
little more of the thread.
