Hi all,
I recently noticed that rather than just one Personal Folder in my Outlook mail folder view, there are three. Now, I have set up three separate POP3 accounts and pst files on this one workstation; however, other than the main one, each of the others opens and only shows that one. When I right-click the second or third in the list, and select Close, I get the message: Operation Failed, object could not be found. How can I get this set back to just one folder? Thanks! Larry |

Create a new mail profile and configure it to use your default .pst file,
not one of the ghosts. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without reading. Milly,
I created a new profile (Control Panel, Mail, Show Profiles, Add) and the darn thing created Outlook3.pst. Yet, I can not find a way of associating my original Outlook.pst to this new profile. Any suggestions? Thanks! Larry Kahm "Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]" wrote in message ... Actually the Data File button won't let me change the name of the PST!?!
It will let me add a new one (Outlook.pst) but won't let me delete the newly created one (Outlook3.pst). Is there any documentation on this - the Outlook help is next to useless and I can't find anything about this on the Microsoft support site. Thanks! Larry "Brian Tillman" wrote in message ... And after that, you should be able to make the new one the default using the E-mail Accounts button, all without having to start Outlook. -- Brian Tillman |
