Did get all the Office 2003 and Outlook updates. Didn't really help.
Was able to find and run the scanpst file. So far, there has been improvement. However... in the "repair" process, a ton of inbox files went missing. Now, the repair had the option for backing up the .pst file before fixing checked. But I can't figure out where the backed up .pst file is. (The missing emails are not in the "recovered" folder created by scanpst.exe.) I want to at least temporarily set Outlook to use the original .pst file so we can somehow salvage the missing inbox (probably hundreds of files) and then go back to the fixed .pst file and move in the "lost" inbox files. Once that "before fixing" .pst file is found, how to I tell Outlook to use that, and then to use the "after fixing" .pst? Thanks! --Bill |
