Default Newbie question regarding corespondance

Dear All,
I am trying to build a network of supliers for my new business. I am sending
mail via outlook and then following up etc. How can I group these messages
together and view the status of each one like who has answered me and who
still needs to, etc. Any advice or pointers to docs on this is greatly
appreciatted
RB
