I have Windows XP Pro SP2 running Office 2003. I have 6 workstations and wll
be adding 4-6 user accounts. I am not using roaming profiles. Is there a way to deploy an Outlook email profile to the all the workstations or do I have to do to each station and set their email profile up? |

That depends on two key details you didn't mention:
1) Will each user be logging onto the machine with their own Windows login? 2) Does each user's Windows login match their mail account? -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "Eric Lanyon" wrote in message ... A: Yes, they will be using a Domain Account. 2) Does each user's Windows login match their mail account? A: Login is "JDoe" and email address would be ". They will need to add a shared mailbox to their list of accounts, but that isn't a requirement for this. If it's possible, great, but if not it's not the end of the world. Microsoft uses text files with a .prf extension and a highly structured format to provide information to OUtlook that enables Outlook to create or modify a mail profile. You can create such .prf files with the Custom Installation Wizard or Custom Maintenance Wizard tools in the Office Resource Kit. For more details, including a variety of .prf deployment methods, read the excellent white paper "Configuring Outlook Profiles by Using a PRF File" at http://office.microsoft.com/search/r...60 I&respos=3
You won't be able to use a .prf file to add a shared Exchange mailbox, though. See http://www.slipstick.com/addins/olroam.htm#tools for other tools that may be able to help with that. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "Eric Lanyon" wrote in message ... 1) Will each user be logging onto the machine with their own Windows login?
