I just moved from OE to Outlook 2003 and set up all my POP3 mail boxes. One
of them is POP3 account at yahoo.com. It goes through TEST with no problems. Once I click on send&receive it completes downloading but them shows me this error in the send&receive dialog box: ________________________________________ Task 'pop.mail.yahoo.ie - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC90) : 'Your incoming (POP3) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: -ERR problem retrieving message.' _________________________________________ Next time when I click on send&receive it downloads all messages again and doubles them in inbox. I don't have problems with others pop3 accounts except POP3 at YAHOO.COM. Any ides how to fix it? thanks |

The first thing I'd try is, since the account works in OE, to import the account from OE using Outlook's FileImport and ExportImport Internet Mail Account Settings. Also make sure you do NOT have an antivirus program integrated with Outlook and and scanning incoming mail. You can also enable diagnostic logging and see if it shows any anomalies in the communications between Outlook and the server. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300479/en-us -- Brian Tillman |
