Default How do I save .gif images from email in Outlook?

I wish to save a .gif image I received in an email but Outlook only offers to
save it as a bitmap. How can I opt to save images as .jpg or .gif?

Empty the temp internet files. You can also save the message as an HTML page
- this should save the images locally and if not, you can open the page in
ie and save it.

Default How do I save .gif images from email in Outlook?

I appologize for asking a confusing question. What I should have said is
that I received an email with a .gif image that I wish to save. I right
clicked on the image but the only option I have in Save as... is to save it
as a bitmap. I wish to keep it a .gif image. I tried saving it as HTML but
that saved the entire email--except for the image. I tried Copy and Paste
with little success. Is there any way to increase my 'Save as...' options to
more than just the 'bitmap' option now available?

Thank you Mr. Hostetler, I read the articles you suggested and removed the
offending downloaded programs but these solutions were for Internet Explorer
when my problem is with Outlook 2003. The only option to save an image in
Outlook 2003 is to save it as a bitmap. Is this a bug or a feature?
