Default new password for newsgroup won't stick!

I changed the password to Outlook and it works fine. However, when I go to
newsgroups, it asks for my password. I have gone into Tools/News/Accounts
and changed the password and asked to remember it. It doesn't, even after
rebooting. How can I get my new mail password to "stick" in newsgroup?
Thanks
