Win98se / OfficeXP /Outlook 2002.
When replying to e-mails and wanting to select a given font, I must sort through about 12 undesired fonts which populate the Font Dropdown list. How may I clear or reset that list ? Thanks |

Are these fonts that you previously used or the alphabetical list of fonts?
The MRU list can be deleted - it's somewhere in the registry, probably under Word keys. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "LuckyStrike" om wrote in message ... They are fonts I've previously used.
They are not arranged alphabetically, but re-arrange themselves based upon whichever font is currently be selected. The list contains (in no order of appearance; as they change as per above) Verdana Tahoma Maiandra GD Haettenschweiler MachineTibetanFont etc. I realize it's somewhere in the registry (if there's no option within Outlook/Options/ tools to clear that). The question is where... which key. Slipstick offered no help. http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/mru.htm The version I have is Outlook2002 (10.0) thanks anyway -- LuckyStrike The best Tweak and your ally for IE = **Disable Active Scripting** http://www.infinisource.com/techfiles/surf-safe.html How to make a good newsgroup post: http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm ------------------------------------------------------------ "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote in message ... I should add that using the expression "Word" in the Registry returns some
860 keys. Rather a generic term, if I may say so. Rather akin to using the word "Computer" in a registry search. Bound to return quite a few hits. :-)) -- LuckyStrike The best Tweak and your ally for IE = **Disable Active Scripting** http://www.infinisource.com/techfiles/surf-safe.html How to make a good newsgroup post: http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm ------------------------------------------------------------ "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote in message ...
