Ms. Mosher asked:
Can you give an example of what you're typing in and what the actual contact info is? Also, in the address book, do you see the contacts in the list you have selected as the name resolution list? Example: In the Address Book (set to show Contacts - answering yes to your second question) there is Malmerm, John (which I can select for the To: box, etc.) Type in the complete last name, 'Malmerm' in the To: box and click the Check Names icon and it returns 'No Suggestions' This is a constant result for any name I type in the To:, etc. box that also resides in the Contacts List. To answer Ms. Poremsky's questions: I have tried the Ctrl+K and get the same result, 'No Suggestions.' The autocomplete functions properly (and both the check names and autocomplete are checked in Outlook Tools Options) Sending a second message returns the same results: 'No Suggestions' Believe me, I am stumped. I am stumped, too. An interesting experiment might be to copy some test items into a new contacts folder and set up that folder as the new default name resolution list.

I bet you five bucks that the contact you are searching for does not
have an e-mail address listed. Only users with e-mail addresses will show in that list ![]() |

Thanks, but I had thought of that one.
It's checked. Contacts is set first in the Check Names list order and is set as show this address list first in Address Book Tools Options so it is the default list when clicking any of the address boxes (To:, Cc:, Bcc ![]() I would welcome any other thoughts at all, I could be overlooking the simplest thing.
