Default Outlook 2003- contact phone number format

Hi,

I'd like the phone numbers to be displayed in plain text- when i paste them
into a FileMaker phone call log it shows a lot of gibberish characters which
I am sure is embedded info Outlook adds. Hopefully this is possible- thanks.

Om
