Apologies if this has been covered many times before. I did Google but
didn't find exactly the answers I needed (which may mean I'm simply not a
good enough Googler!).

I know the cause of the nasty "Another program is trying..." popups and it
seems that the solution is "Redemtion", but some questions.

1. If I install redemtion, is that it or does the program which is trying to
send e-mail have to change too?
2. Is redemtion something that should be enabled and disabled to order, and
if so can it be?
3. Does redemtion drive a "coach and horses" through security or is it more
subtle than that?

Redemption would help if the code causing the security prompt is code you own and can revise. It's a code library, after all.

Thanks Sue. I take your answer to mean "the calling code has to be
rewritten to use redemption" which makes redemption of no use if the calling
code is a third party product. I'm going to try the mapilab.com product to
see if it works - watch this space!
