My users all have a .PST files on their local hard disk for archiving
purposes. I'm looking for a software that could automatically copy, once a week, the .pst file to a network drive after outlook is shutdown. I'm looking for something that can be used and setup without any user intervention. I've looked into microsoft .PST backup Add-in, but it seems to rely on user intervention to backup the .pst and it also seems to be hard to deploy centrally (i.e.: only works on the profile it was installed to). So, I'm curious to see what everyone else is using out there. Thanks |

Hi Oliver,
We are using Mobiliti (www.mobiliti.com) product, continuity@work to backup our pst files. We have setup a schedule to backup at certain intervals. The process itself is transparent to the user. This product also has a built in deployment feature which made it very easy for us to deploy to all our users. Good luck. Hi Dolly,
thanks for this information but "Qafyg" ask for this back-up program, not I We donīt use any kind of special PST backup software. We copy our PST files from our local harddisk every night to a Windows 2003 Server and make the backup with the default Windows 2003 backup software. If we forget to shutdown our Outlook on our workstations to unblock the PST files, we wrote a freeware program to close Outlook on our workstations: Quit Outlook on : http://www.publicshareware.de/outloo...utilities.html (sorry untill now only in german) My meaning: Sometimes it is easier to do it with "freeware" instead of additional software. -- Oliver Vukovics Share Outlook without Exchange: Public ShareFolder Share your contacts, calendars or e-mails http://www.publicshareware.com "Dolly" schrieb im Newsbeitrag oups.com...
