Default Outlook and Xpress POP3

I have an exchange server, and outlook 2003.

I have a pop3 account that created and works on MS Outlook Express on my

Windows XP but the same account does not work on my POP3 account on Outlook.

No matter how I duplicated the account by copy and past from Outlook Express
to

Outlook.

The error I am getting is in "Test account" it stops in "Incoming mail"

I even removed the mail.xxx from "incoming maili" and typed IP address
number of the recipient server

Can you please tell me what I can do?

Thanks.

Surely Outlook is giving you more of an error message than that. What
actual error message are you seeing? Post back the full text of the
error, please.

Sounds like it could be an authentication issue. Does the POP3 account
require authentication?

Can you send mail through that account's SMTP server?

Is your username correct? Many POP3 accounts only require you to put
the bare username; like "jsmith" for John Smith, while if you are
trying to access via a different Internet connection, it wants the
entire true username, like " "

Look at all that and see if any of it applies.
