I´m using outlook 2003 with an IMAP account.
Outlooks standard behavior is to save drafts on a local special folder, called "drafts". Instead, I would like Outlook to save drafts on a "draft" folder placed on my IMAP account. I searched google, and it seems that what I want to attain is impossibile... maybe any of you know some kind of work-around or solution? Thank you for you help, Gianluca Bosco |

The only way to achieve this as far as I know is to not have local folders
at all and work entirely from your IMAP folders. Opus "Gianluca Bosco" wrote in message ... I´m using outlook 2003 with an IMAP account. Hi Gianluca,
Unfortunately Outlook does not allow you to do this. Outlook 2007 will still now allow you to do this either. Unfortunately, I am not in a place that lets me work out the details of the
procedure, and at my office, I am not permitted access to these newsgroups. Perhaps someone elase can provide the specific steps. Opus "Gianluca Bosco" wrote in message ... Patrick meant "not" not "now."

Such an application claims to be able to "redirect" Outlook special folders on an IMAP account. I just downloaded it, and I´m going to give it a try... Let´s see whether it helps... Gianluca Bosco |

Thanks! Stupid typo.
There is no way to work only off of an IMAP server with Outlook without 3rd party tools. Outlook will always create a Personal Folder file locally to store contacts, appts, notes, and the special folders (sent items, outbox, draft).
