I think that I have a worm that is using my Outlook 2002 SP3 to spam using
my account - I keep getting Undeliverable messages from System Admin accounts. I am running the latest NAV plus all sorts of trojam, spyware but nothing has been identified. Any advice please? Thanks Boris |

it's probably not you - someone else is using your address for spam. it'll
eventually go away. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "JGG" wrote in message o.uk... I'm having the same problem. I've put rules in place that move most of them
to my junk folder. I understand what's happening but it does bother me that my email address may end up in spam filters and messages I send won't get through. How likely is this? I don't much care for the occasional abusive response I'm getting either. Should I send an email to everyone on my address list encouraging them to be a bit more active as far as removing malware etc is concerned? I don't think it's likely because spam filters usually key off of the IP addresses of the machines generating the junk. Since it's not yours, I don't think you have to worry a lot. Yeah, this can be annoyiong because the people who are complaining don't understand that you're as much of a victim as they. -- Brian Tillman |
