Hi guys,

Maybe a stupid question but what is the difference between the 'Outlook
Address Book' and 'Contacts' in Outlook 2003 ? Many thanks.

Regards Colin.

The Outlook Address Book is a service in your mail profile that will show
you all the electronic addresses for contacts contained in Contact folders
that have been enabled as address books. A Contact folder is where contact
records reside. If the folder has been enabled as an address book, then the
Outlook Address Book interface will show you all the contacts in that folder
that have electronic addresses.

Default Address Book

The Contacts folder is more of a personal address book and stores all types
of information about others such as street addresses, telephone numbers,
e-mail addresses, fax phone numbers, and Web page addresses.

The Address Book can contain a range of address books including a Global
Address book, a Personal Address book and also contains Contacts as mentioned
above.
