Hi,
I seem to have an issue with the new Outlook 2007 Beta 2. Standard setup (no changes made during install, no changes made from within Outlook). I am using an existing PST file from OL2003. All messages received prior to the installation are viewable within Outlook 2007. However, any new message received has the following: - The message header can be viewed in the Inbox - The message body can NOT be viewed in the reading pane (the reading pane contains the sender, subject, attachments, but no body). - If I enable quick preview in the Inbox folder view, the first fiew lines of the body show up in the folder view - but still nothing in the reading pane. - If I 'view source' from within the reading pane, it is completely blank - If I send a new message, the recipient gets a completely blank email (only subject), the body appears stripped out? I have tried changing views, reinstalling etc - still nothing. The problem occurs with messages received that are plain text, as opposed to html. Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!! Chris |

There are many posts on this issue in this and the main microsoft.public.outlook.general group. The consensus is that the solution is to turn off the email scanning feature of your anti-virus program.

The problem is with your Virus scanner. AVG seems to be a major culprit. I
uninstalled AVG then dowloaded the free Avast and it solved all my problems Just turning off the email scanner in AVG did not work for me. Avast is checking my email without any problems. I hope this all helps. Steve Gale, Victoria, BC "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: There are many posts on this issue in this and the main microsoft.public.outlook.general group.
