I have an Excel 2003 attachment to an Outlook 2003 calendar entry or
e-mail that executes on an Auto_Open() macro when the recipient clicks on the file. The idea is to open a file within the Excel 2003 macro on a shared drive that contains the recipient's outlook Alias in the file name, as in "ProjectReporting[ALIAS].xls". Is it possible for the Excel macro to query the Outlook 2003 properties of the recipient to obtain the Alias name? |

Possibly, but what exactly do you mean by "the recipient's Outlook alias"?
FYI, there is a newsgroup specifically for general Outlook programming issues "down the hall" at microsoft.public.outlook.program_vba or, via web interface, at http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm....program_v ba -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "fidgitthedigit" wrote in message oups.com...
