I like the concept of the outlook junk mail function but it seems to combersome. What I want is to delete the email completely out of my system and block the sender from sending me anything else. I would like to just mark it junk, click block sender. and let that be the end of it. But instead I must go to the junk file and delete it again and then to the deleted file and delete it a third time. Why are these last two steps necessary? NOt necessary at all.
1. Adding senders to the blocked list is useless as they change sender names/domains at random. 2. Right click on the Junk Mail folder and select empty. Bypasses the deleted items. For my personal preference, a 3rd party tool installed along side of Outlook's junk mail filters works very well - SpamBayes, available from Sourceforge. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without reading. When you delete it from the Junk E-mail folder, hold down the Shift key when you press Delete to permanently delete it. -- Brian Tillman |
