Default sometimes Outlook does not open

I have outlook shortcut on my taskbar. I am using Outlook 2007 beta 2. I use
multiple profiles. When I click the outlook shortclick sometime it doesnt
prompt me the profile, but I can see outlook.exe in processes. I used to
have same issue with Outlook 2003. I usually close one profile and switch to
other very often.

do u know why this happens

Before you click the shortcut, is outlook.exe in processes?
It could be that Outlook didn't close correctly (maybe due to an add-in,
PocketPC?) and hence is still running. Therefore it doesn't ask about a
profile.

Kill the outlook.exe process and identify the reason why it is not fully
closing (prob. add-in, pocketpc).
Is there any particular reason why you work with multiple profiles?
