My ISP limits the number of emails I can send in a 10-minute interval. Our
club's email list is longer than that limit. I can break the list into smaller sections and send a section at a time but, given the volume of emails I handle, it means spending hours (literally!) in front of my computer. Please -- does anyone know of an add-in or utility that does batch sends within Outlook, timed over pre-set intervals? Or a work-around that doesn't involve setting up a server? Something that will work while I catch up on much-needed sleep? Much gratitude in anticipation -- Peter R Adler |

It was not designed to be a bulk mailing service. Google for bulk mail services or software. With bulk mail services, you do run into the anti-spam quotas. With bulk mailing software, some can be configured as to how fast to send out the e-mails (i.e., how many to batch up at a time and the delay between each batch). Stop trying to use a screwdriver as a hammer. |

If there are some, they'll be listed at http://www.slipstick.com/addins/mail.htm#massmail
Peter's advice is right on target, though. Google, Yahoo, MSN and probably other services all allow you to maintain mailing lists with much less effort than doing it in Outlook. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "Peter R.
