As I haven't used O98 for YEARS(!) can someone tell me how to convert,
import or otherwise use the data in the PAB in Contacts view instead of the
PAB?

I haven't done this in ages, but here's what I remember:
Add the Personal Address Book service to the profile and point it at the PAB
file....then when that's done, use the import wizard to import the PAB
contents to the Contacts folder?
