Hello,
I think I've wierd problem. Win XP sp2 Office 2003 (Outlook). I've four email accounts configured. As you know, in this case, when I'm writing an email, I've the possibility to choos threw which account the message will be send. And here is my problem. Doesn't matter which account I'll chose, the recipients are recieving my emails always over same account (one of these four)! If they choos replayTo, then it takes automaticly email adress from exactly this accoount. I've checked configuration of all of four account several times, and averything is set up properly! Can be this a reason, that I do not have my email folder as a standard folder? I do not understand for what is this option there, that I can choose threw which acount I would like to send particular email, if the user notice, that this message came from a different direction. This is pretty anoying, having one private and one company email account. I do not want my customers to have private account informations (email addres) for example. Any help will be appreciated. Have you enabled diagnostic logging to see which account Outlook is actually using to send the message? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300479/en-us -- Brian Tillman |

Hey Brian,
I've implemented sp2. Now seems to be better, but now, I've other problem. I can not send emails via my default (first in the list) account. I'm keep getting relay denied message. This can not be, because, when I'm sending an email over web page from this account, with the same email address, it is working fine! This is what I'm getting in log: 2006.03.03 11:06:07 MY_SERVER_NAME: UploadItems: 1 messages to send 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.xo.net): Begin execution 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): Port: 25, Secu no, SPA: no 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): Finding host 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): Connected to host 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): rx 220 XO.net Mail X-fer Server 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): [tx] EHLO nbmatik 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): rx 250-anyserver.xo.net 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): rx 250-PIPELINING 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): rx 250-SIZE 60000000 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): rx 250-ETRN 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): rx 250-AUTH DIGEST-MD5 LOGIN PLAIN 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): rx 250 8BITMIME 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): Authorized to host 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): Connected to host 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): [tx] MAIL FROM: ***** 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): rx 250 Ok 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): [tx] RCPT TO: ***** 2006.03.03 11:06:07 SMTP (anyserver.net): rx 550 *****: Relay access denied 2006.03.03 11:06:08 SMTP (anyserver.net): End execution 2006.03.03 11:06:08 MY_SERVER_NAME: ReportStatus: RSF_COMPLETED, hr = 0x00000000 2006.03.03 11:06:08 MY_SERVER_NAME: Synch operation completed Wierd .... Whether or not you can send a message from the ISP's web site has nothing to do with it. I suspect you're not authentication to the outgoing server on the "Outgoing Server" tab of your account properties. Click ToolsE-mail AccountsNext, select your account, click Change, then More Settings and select the Outgoing Server tab. Make sure the box labeled "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" is checked. -- Brian Tillman |
