Timeouts for MAPI's OpenEntry()

Is there a way for a MAPI client to specify a timeout when calling
IMsgSto:OpenEntry() or IMAPISession::OpenEntry()? Sometimes, these
calls hang unnecessarily long even when you are trying to access a
local PST file.

Thanks for any advice.
