I have a dying HD on an XP Pro machine with Outlook 2003 installed.
Killed all the online stuff, scans etc., so now, without a lot of disc activity, it's stable. While it is stable, I want to get all my Outlook info backed up on a CD, so I can reinstall Outlook after I get the new HD and XP installed. How do I find and backup the Contact, Calander, Lists, emails, etc. files so I can recreate Outlook just as it is now? Does the Outlook.pst file have all of this stuff, or do I have to go elsewhere? Also, how do I get those files, and the Archive.pst file into and recognized by the new installation of Outlook? |

The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored. Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer: http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm http://www.howto-outlook.com/Howto/backupandrestore.htm http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...771141033.aspx -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Gman" wrote in message ups.com...
