Default Outlook PST files stored on a Cluster Server

Hi,

Does anyone here store their Outlook PST files on the Network (we know
this is bad, but our corporate policy prevents us using exchange), we
store these files on a windows 2000 cluster and have been having issues
with checkdisk running when we move groups from one node to the other -
this sometimes kills data, and sometimes kills permissions.

We are not quite sure if it is outlook PSTs causing the disk to be
marked as dirty, but basically it is causing some grief, and since
according to a microsoft KB article ourlook uses low level disk
commands to write to PSTs then this may be the reason.

I have checked to see if there are known errors with this setup, but
cannot find anything.

If anyone else has had this issue or knows what may be happening please
let me know.

Thanks.

Mark.

Officially, Microsoft does not support the use of PST files on network
drives.

I thought I'd be uncharacteristically demure.
