Not quite sure what you mean when you say "unable to log in"........Outlook doesn't normally need the user to "log in". Please expand on what /actually/ is happening, and post any error message in full. Thanks -- Gordon Burgess-Parker Systems and Management Accounting www.gbpcomputing.co.uk |

'log onto incoming mail server [pop3] outlook could not connect to the incoming server pop3 mail server because the server did not accept username or password'??? Well there are two reasons for this. Either your usename and/or password *are* incorrect, (Case? caps lock?) or, the mail server is down. To check the latter, go to the servive status page of your ISP. To check the former, does your ISP have web access to mail ? (Many do these days). If so, go to that page and try to log on to your mail account there. If that works, then the username and/or password you have entered into Outlook are definitely wrong. HTH -- Gordon Burgess-Parker Systems and Management Accounting www.gbpcomputing.co.uk |
