Why is it that when Oulook Express is the default mail handler, forwards I
send from IE go out immediately but when Outlook is the default you think it goes out, but it doesn't until you open Outlook and send email. This stupid behavior is still there with Outlook 2007. And it is still why I used Outlook Express instead of Outlook for my email. Why does free Outlook Express have this feature while costly Outlook does not? I just would like to know. |

And by the way, Outlook also insists on making itself the default
mailhandler every month when it updates the junk mail filter. Nice! Even though I prefer Outlook. "SteveC" wrote in message ... Because Outlook Express is a part of Windows so is always running, hence can
send. Outlook is not a part of Windows and has to be open to send. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Outlook used extended mapi which needs more of the program loaded to send
email. OE uses simple mapi and doesn't need as much of the program loaded for the same length of time. Sometimes you can trick Outlook into sending by opening 2 message forms and sending 1 - then waiting a bit to close the second. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "SteveC" wrote in message ...
