Default Delete/Cancel appointment using a VCS file

Hi
is it possible to delete/cancel appointments using a VCS file.
I created the file, containing football fixtures, and set all the
fixtures as appointments. Quite a few of these will change, because they
will be screened on TV, so I need to be able to change or delete the
originals, prior to replacing them with new ones.

Anyone know if I can do this using a VCS file please?

Thanks

Pete
