Okay: while at the office a mobile user who has heretofore used pst files is
connected to Exchange on a Small Business Server 2000. Like everyone else in the company, Exchange handles only shared calendars and internal email ONLY while Internet email is handled by our ISP's SMTP/POP servers and is downloaded by Outlook either into the Exchange Mailbox or the user's PST file. Have done it this way since Win/Office 95 eons ago (seemingly). Exchange Server has no connections whatsoever with the Internet. Mobile user needs to have his Calendar shared to many internal users and editable by one or two internal assistants. User also has extensive Rules and needs them to be operative whether he's in the office connecting to Exchange and the Internet (seperately); or outside the office and only connected to the Internet but having incoming POP3 emails stored in his OST files and operated on by his Rules. "Junk Mail" filtering also is operative only with Rules, apparently. Any ideas on how to have both? |
