I receive many emails from addresses similar to:
. There is nothing in the subject line nor in the body and no name in the TO field. How do I make a rule to allow these messages to go into my delete box? Thanks! |

How do I make a rule to allow these messages to go into my delete box? Create a rule that deletes all messages, and add the exception "except if the subject or body contains specific words" and make the specific words "a", "e", "i", "o", "u", or "y". This will delete all messages unless they contain at least one English word. Messages with nothing in the subject or body or with only punctuation or digits will be deleted. -- Brian Tillman |

Outlook will tell you that the rule will be applied to all messages and ask you if that will be OK. You'll see the action list next and there you specify the "delete it" action and, if you wish, the "mark it as read" condition. I did it after the message arrives on this machine only, a e i u o y into deleted. But it does not say that it deletes them all EXCEPT for... After choosing the action and clicking Next, you'll be presented a list of exceptions. That is where you find the "except if" conditions. -- Brian Tillman |
