Default emailing a non-contact file

How do I send an email to an address that I do not wish to set up in my
contact files? This will be a one time email and the contact info is not
needed.

Yes, I am just typing the email address in the TO field, but I'm receiving
the following message when I click the send button:
"Microsoft Office Outlook does not recognize "stephonie.boone.bellsouth.com"

How can I send an email to someone that is not set up in my Outlook?

Email addresses must contain an "@" in order to be recognized as an email
address. Try putting @ between "boone" and "bellsouth" instead of a period.
