These are 2 completely diff operations. You send email through your ISP
servers. You send faxes through your telephone modem connected to your plain
old telephone jack (not your dsl or cable modem.) You cannot do it at the
same time.

Not so. Outlook can send to mixed recipient types if it is configured
correctly.
The real question here what the user means by "winfax" and what type of
Internet connection they use.

Hi,

I have a dsl modem and also a telephone jack for winfax to use to dial.

The goal for me is to create a group of people in my contacts that will
recieve an email and fax from me.

So all I would need to do is choose the group for my contacts (not each
individual person) and for them to receive a fax and email..

I use winfax for faxing

Thanks for the help

Hi,

I think he is using Symentec WinFax Pro. It has a built in wizard to setup
sending faxes via email. I haven't used this for some time but if neopotent
uses the WinFax help file, he should be able to sort this.

Regards Colin.

And Symantec Winfax does not integrate with Outlook except for "allegedly"
version 10.04, which you must call Symantec to get.

The key is in your WinFax Setup and the version you have. Version 10 will
give you an option in properties to integrate it into outlook. You can not
do it from Outlook it's self.
