Default how do I set up Outlook 2003?

I installed Office Pro 2003 on my office and home computer. The setup on my
office computer went great. I can't get Outlook to work on my home
computer. I un-installed and then re-installed the entire package on my
home computer, but I can't get Outlook to work. I get the screen about
migrating account settings, but it will not accept my password. I finally
get the error message "Unable to open your default e-mail folders.
Outlook.ost is not an offline file folder." I have un-installed and
re-installed the entire package several times w/o any effect. Is there some
file on my system that I need to delete after I un-install the package to
erase my previous settings?

What exactly are you doing to configure it, what exactly do you see each
step along the way, and what account type are you trying to configure?

Where did you get the OST file? Outlook doesn't create one by default.

I had originally install Office 2003 and then had to delete it. THe first
time I installed the package Outlook worked. After that first time it hasn't
worked. I haven't added any files except what was installed w/ the package.
Except for the 1st installation, I have not gotten a chance to configure
Outlook. I was told that a n Outllok icon is supposed to be installed on
your desktop and from there you can configure it. However I have never
gotten an icon on my desktop.

Office 2003 did away with the configuration icon on the desktop (although
you can put it back if you want). Start to configure it with the Mail
applet in Control Panel.
