Default PST file merge question

OK, no import or export. got that. In Outlook 2003 running on two
machines, I want to synchronize the two PST files and retire one
version/machine. I should never have let my wife use two machines for
one e-mail account, but the deed is done.

Can two PST files be merged or should I just rename it, copy it, and
open it as needed and not try to synchronize and merge the two
versions??

Thanks for the info.

Henry
