Default using auto-correct with word 2000 and outlook live (outlook 2003)

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook Live twice (last time from the CD)
and I still can't use auto-correct (or import and export). any suggestions?

I don't believe Outlook Live can make use of Word 2000. The versions must
match. There is a limited autocorrect feature in Outlook's mail editor.
See ToolsOptionsSpellingAutoCorrect Options.

thanks, Brian, but even the limited auto-correct doesn't work (been there,
done that, several times) what next? another out and in? it grows tedious.
and I thought Outlook would be better than MSN premium....

The Outlook editor autocorrect does work for me (although I'm not using
Outlook Live). I'm afraid I don't have any other suggestions.
