Default "indexing" names in Outlook 2003

This strikes me as a setting that can be enabled, but I'll be damned
if I can find it...

Presently, when I enter a new contact, Outlook indexes it in my
contact list as first name, last name, so it is NOT indexed
alphabetically last name first as desired.

How can I set up the default indexing to be last name, first name ?

TIA

Control Panel-Mail Icon-Accounts-Directories-View or Change-Set your
order from there.

Thanks for the reply Milly but I am confused...

Where is the Outlook Control panel ? Did you mean the Windows Control
Panel? Where is the "mail icon"

Thanx again...

Windows Control Panel. Outlook never had one.

For WIndows XP with Control Panel in the Category view, it's usually under
the User Accounts category. I have seen it under the Other category as
well.
