Default Status Bar Info in OL2K3

Hi All,

Recently got a new machine onto which I installed Outlook 2K3. On my
previous machine, also with 2K3, I was able to see synchronization
information in the right side of the status bar. Now I can't remember how I
turned that functionality on (if it wasn't on by default). One of my duties
requires me to log into 10+ mail accounts and I found the information that
was displayed useful. If anyone can help, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks & Ciao,

Tony

Default Status Bar Info in OL2K3

Hi Diane,

No, I've already displayed the status bar. What I used to see was text
somewhat like 'All Views Updated' after Outlook had displayed all the
updated Exchange info after I logged into an account. Now, the only thing I
see in the status bar is the Online/Offline notification. I know this is
what is displayed after the views have been updated, but what I want to see
is the progress, then completion, of the views being updated. Becuase I
have to pop in and out of a bunch of accounts, seeing the completion message
allows me to begin updating info right away after the view is updated
instead of relying on watching Task Manager in the sys tray to see when the
CPU use drops after Outlook is done updating.

Make sense or did I confuse things? In any event, I do appreciate your
response.

Tony

Well, found my answer. The issue apparently has to do with the version of
Outlook that accessed the Exchange mailbox. If the mailbox was accessed
using OL2K, then OL2K3, the issue shows up. Resolution was to remove the
accounts and add them back, after installation of OL2K3.
