Hi
I have Outlook 2000 (and another PC with Outlook 2003 if this makes my problem easier). Is there an quick way to get names, email addresses, postal addresses, etc of all contacts in each Contact Groups (I think that's what they are called - the groups are in bold in the "Address Book" dialog)? I want to put them in Word tables (with a different table for each group). I can double-click on a contact and copy each details into Word using copy and paste, but doing this for each contact in a Contact Group (there are hundreds) isn't feasible. If there's a way to copy and paste the information for all contacts in a particular Contact Group, that would be much easier. It doesn't need to be automated. Thanks everyone |

The Outlook Address Book does not use Groups.
Clarify what you mean. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Jay" nospam wrote in message ... Hi I have Outlook 2000 (and another PC with Outlook 2003 if this makes my problem easier). Russ - sorry about the lack of clarity. This is what I do in Outlook 2003...
If I choose Tools | Address Book, the "Address Book" window opens, and if I choose "Show names from the: Contacts", in the list near the bottom of the window, some of the names are in bold, and if I right-click on one of these bold names, a list of contacts appears in a new window. This is what I referred to as a "Contact Group", but maybe I'm using the wrong phrase. Jay "Russ Valentine [MVP Outlook]" wrote in message ... The Outlook Address Book does not use Groups. Those are distribution lists that exist in the Contacts Folder (no data
exists in the Outlook Address Book). DL's contain names and electronic addresses only: nothing else. That's why your question makes no sense. There are no postal addresses in DL's. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "John" - wrote in message ... Russ - sorry about the lack of clarity. This is what I do in Outlook 2003... OK, thanks for your clarification. I would still like to get the names and electronic addresses out.

You can easily save a DL as an RTF file and open it in Word. Make sure you
do all this in your Contacts Folder, never the address book view. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Jay" - wrote in message ... OK, thanks for your clarification.
