Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports. Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups. You can also find some good Outlook Express information he http://www.insideoutlookexpress.com/ -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without reading. After furious head scratching, Don Smith asked: | I saved my contacts from Outlook to vcards on a dying computer. That's not the most ideal way to transport your contacts from Outlook to Outlook Express. Instead, on the machine where Outlook is installed, use FileImport and ExportExport to a file. Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" and click Next. Select the Contacts folder and click Next. Enter the name of the file where you'd save the contacts (or browse), and click Next, then Finish. Transport this file (which is just a text file) to the system with Outlook Express and put it in some folder on the hard drive. Start Outlook Express and click FileImportOther Address Book. Select "Text file (COmma Separated Values)" and click Import. Browse to the file you saved, select it, click OK, then Next, then Finish. All done. -- Brian Tillman |
