Default Setting download size for messages in Offline mode

Hi All,

I am looking for an option to set the message download size for Offline
users with Outlook 2003/Exchange 5.5 users.

Users' mailbox is sitting on exchange 5.5 mailbox and the clients are
configured on Outlook 2003. What we noticed is, while setting up
Send/Receive group the message size is settings are grayed out. However
these options are available when configuring for exchange 2003 mailbox
users.

Kindly advise how to make this settings available for exchange
5.5/Outlook 2003 users. With out these settings, offline users over
slow dialup line can not use outlook effectively.

thanks
Shaji

size settings only apply to pop/imap or boxes configured for offline use and
remote mail.

Default Setting download size for messages in Offline mode

Hi Diane,

Here I have configured the mailbox in Offline mode. Still these
settings are not available. Any idea??

With Remote Mail, it behaves little different. Deleted messages appear
in the inbox as a header. It disappears when doing a full
synchronization. This behavior was not there in Outlook XP.

Please advise if this can be stopped.

rgds
Shaji
