When I receive an email that goes into junk email but belongs in my inbox,
if I go to the Outlook junk mail and left click add senders domain to safe senders list, it does not work. I have to add the name by hand in the "add" item - is this the way this is supposed to work? Thanks! |

When you select a message in the junk email folder (not the folder), you can
select: Actions--Junk E-mail--Add Senders Domain to Safe Senders List or Right click on the message and then select Junk E-mail--Add Senders Domain to Safe Senders List This should return a dialogue box that reads: "The sender of the selected message has been added to your safe senders list" (Actually, that is an incorrect popup, since we asked for the domain to be added, not just the sender) "Terri" wrote in message ... Williams - did what you suggested, but after following your instructions,
there is no dialogue box that reads "The sender of the selected message has been added to your safe senders list" ... "William Lefkovics [MVP]" wrote in message ... Don't add names to the blocked list - it's pointless in 99.9% of the cases.
The only time it works is like for newsletters that you are too lazy to unsub from that always come from the same domain. Do you continue to correspond with people you send email to? If not, I would uncheck it and add only those who get stuck in the junk folder. i.e., I get a lot of mail from a lot of people I don;'t know and may not email again once their problem is solved - I only add them to the safe list if they end up in junk email - about 1 in 10 do - and only because it's the easy way to get the message back into the inbox. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Terri" wrote in message ...
