Default Outlook 2003 rules add-in to overcome 32k limit

I migrated a few months ago from using Outlook as a standalone client to
using it with an Exchange server. I had to remove over half of my rules
because of the 32k characters limit for rules. I have put up with manual
sorting of email for too long now.

Are there any good add-ins that overcome this 32k limit. I don't care if
all the rules have to run on client-side. The main functionality I am
looking for is moving messages to other folders based on sender, receiver, or
subject text.

Is this 32k limit removed or extended in Outlook 2007.

The limit is not in Outlook but on the Exchange server. Exchagne 2007 will increase it to a maximum of 256kb, set by the administrator.

See http://www.slipstick.com/addins/auto.htm for addins

You could change your delivery location to a PST, but then you'd lose many
of the features of Exchange. If you need to share any of your folders, for
example, this isn't a viable option.

That I don't know.

I am not familiar with how to set up Outlook to deliver mail to a .pst for an
Exchange account. Is this documented somewhere?

I'm sure it is. However, create the PST (FileNewOutlook Data File), then
click ToolsE-mail AccountsNext and choose the PST in the "Delivery new
e-mail to the following location" drop-down at the bottom left. Stop and
restart Outlook. Everything will be sucked off the Exchange server to the
PST.
