Hi:
I do seem to be experiencing difficulties with rules these days....... I created a rule that includes having the server respond with a specific message (in fact, all the rule does is to have the server respond with a particular message). The rule is working - I know that since I can sent a test message and receive the appropriate response back. The problem is that there is nothing in the account to indicate that the response was actually sent - I would have thought that the sent messages would show up in my sent messages folder. Am I doing something wrong. Can anyone shed some light on this? PS: I have checked all the account local folders - the message that are sent based on the above rule can't be found anywhere in the account. -- Dab Cut off: yourhead to respond |

It is a server side rule - why should it show in your client folders?

Well, now that you point that out, I guess that makes sense, but since I'm
using other server side rules that affect things in my local folders, and since the server is responding to email that was sent to me..... I thought that the server would be 'smart' enough to place a copy of the email that it sent on my behalf, in my folders. Perhaps I should have posed the question differently...... Is there a rule that would automatically send a response and keep a copy of that response in my local folders? -- Dab Cut off: yourhead to respond "Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]" wrote in message ...
