Hello,
My boss uses Outlook, I think 2002. In the past few years, I have had 3 different email addresses. Within my boss' address book, I have kept my own content current, i.e., revised my own email address and removed the old addresses. However, when my boss goes to send me email, and begins to type in my name, the "Send to" line begins to auto-populate with an older email address. Is there any way to remedy this? It's a bit maddening when she sends an email to me, but it doesn't arrive; to make matters worse, she doesn't even receive an "Undeliverable" reply. I don't want to edit the Registry if I don't have to, but will, if I must. Any responses would be much appreciated. Thank you, smackedass |

Thank you, smackedass This has nothing to do with the address book - it's Outlook's autocomplete, which is entirely independent of any address book. It remembers addresses you've entered (and addresses you've received mail from). When she sees the old/bad address pop up, she needs to select it with the arrow keys on the keyboard, and then press the DEL key. Or, you can delete her entire autocomplete cache - it's a single .NK2 file in her profile folder. But that might be too much of a brute force approach. |
